“THE COUNTRY OF A DISTANT AND MYSTERIOUS TRIBE”: RUSSIA AND RUSSIAN LITERATURE IN ITALIAN JOURNALS AND BOOKS FOR CHILDREN (1920–1940S)

This article examines translations and adaptations of Russian literature in Italian periodicals book series for children the fascist period (1921–1945). By analyzing repertoire publications translated from other languages comparing it with foreign literatures, share authors is established, most popular genres narrative characteristics texts are identified, cultural pedagogical aims publishing books what factors influenced selection works translation clarified if possible.
